Commercial Sink Drain Repair: A Detached Pipe in Chandler

A sink drain pipe came loose. See the actual job photo, the recorded repair and how IQ linked the visit, sign-off and later invoice export.

By Masterline Facilities · Service date October 25, 2026

The drain pipe had come off a restaurant sink in Chandler, Arizona. The sink could no longer send its waste water through that pipe to the floor drain. Masterline Facilities handled the service call on October 25, 2026.

This was a loose drain connection. It was not a blocked drain, a new sink or a remodel.

Copper drain pipe attached below a stainless-steel sink strainer.
Original photo saved with this job after the work. The pipe is back below the sink. The service note describes the work and manager review.

What the tech found and changed

The tech’s saved note says the drain pipe was fully off the sink strainer. The strainer is the part at the sink outlet. The tech put the pipe back with thread tape and lined it up toward the floor drain.

The tech then showed the work to the manager and collected a sign-off. The note does not describe a separate measured flow test or a long-term check. We do not claim either.

This describes the repair record for this sink. It is not a guide to choosing a repair method. A plumber needs to check the pipe, connection and setup at the site.

Why the work note matters

“Sink leak” can mean more than one thing. A tap can drip. A joint can leak. A waste pipe can come loose. In this case, the note and photo identify the drain connection that was put back.

That detail helps the next person see what changed. A photo of the pipe alone would not explain the manager review or the work method.

How IQ kept the job together

  1. Request and dispatch: IQ saved the request on October 25, then the office saved an in-house visit and assigned the tech.
  2. Work: IQ kept the actual check-in and check-out, the service note and four original photos.
  3. Sign-off: The manager’s acknowledgment stayed with the job. The public story keeps the name and signature private.
  4. Office: A billing draft and completed QuickBooks invoice export were recorded on October 27. No payment is confirmed by this review.

IQ held the work from the saved request through the office invoice step. People handled the repair, review and billing decision. The records do not show an AI doing the repair or prove time or money saved.

What to include in a sink service request

  • Which sink is affected and where water is going.
  • Whether the problem is at the tap, drain joint or another part.
  • A clear photo, when it is safe to take one.
  • Any prior repair note for the same fixture.

For a different fault, see our three-compartment sink gasket repair. That case had its own parts and water check.
